Bishop Auckland Town Council’s Community Fund budgets an amount each year which is to be used to support organisations working for the benefit of the people of Bishop Auckland. Applications are considered at the Finance Committee meetings held in June and December.
Grants can be paid for projects and activities which can be shown to benefit Bishop Auckland people, however, the Council is unable, by law, to grant aid to individuals.
In Bishop Auckland we are fortunate in having a wide variety of community groups and charities which contribute to the life of the town and as a Council, are very aware of the hard work done by volunteers to help make our town a better place to live and work; we do our best to provide financial assistance where needed,” said a spokesperson for Bishop Auckland Town Council.
Any organisation who operates in Bishop Auckland Town, Toronto, Woodhouse Close, Cockton Hill or Henknowle and would like to apply for a grant of up to £500 from the Community Fund, can obtain an application form below, alternatively, you can contact the Bishop Auckland Town Council using the following details:
