Local band Share the Darkness raised the roof at the Park Head Hotel in Bishop Auckland on Saturday night helping to boost funds for Ann Golightly the Mayor of Bishop Auckland’s chosen charity the Butterwick Hospice.
Local Mayors from across the County along with members of the public sang along to traditional Irish Music including ‘The Wild Rover’ and ‘Tell Me Ma’. The total amount raised for the Butterwick from the evening was £564.00.
Councillor Golightly said:
“I would like to say a huge thank you to Claire and Tony Gibbons from the Park Head Hotel and to Share the Darkness who made the evening such a great success.”
“The night had a real buzz about it and is a fantastic example of the goodwill the local community has for local charity fundraising.”
